Suzanne Thomas
aka Suzanne Tumnus

Suzanne performing tales from the not so deep at festival at the edge

Based in South Shropshire, Suzanne began storytelling in 2008, when she set up “Cranesfield Bardic Arts”.

Since then, her passion for sharing stories has taken her to schools, libraries, The National Trust and Festival at the Edge.

Growing up in the Midlands, with holidays by the sea and in the mountains of Wales, Suzanne found her love of stories and legends.

She loves to tell stories of the landscape, and can often be found on hilltops, searching beneath stones, and listening to whispers on the wind, gathering threads and weaving them into tales that want to be heard.

"An engaging and delightful teller"

Michael Harvey, Storyteller.

Jake Thomas

Jake

Jake has had a passion for music all of his life.

He plays the finger-picking folk style guitar, inspired by the 60's and early 70's acoustic blues/folk legends.

This self taught guitarist writes and performs his own compositions along with covers from the greats and his favourite traditional folk songs.

"Acoustic guitar wizard"

“good to hear a guitar played properly”

Together they are a music and storytelling duo.

Suzanne and Jake Thomas

Singing songs and telling stories from a repertoire of traditional pieces and their own compositions, Suzanne and Jake find their inspiration in the folktales, legends and songs of Britain and the wild hills of South Shropshire.

They made their debut at Festival at the Edge in 2014 during a thunderstorm, and were back there in 2017 with their latest project:

"The Elfin Knight and Other Stories"
